What is Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT)?
Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) is a guided hypnosis method developed by Dolores Cannon that uses deep relaxation to access an expanded state of consciousness. This state — often associated with theta brainwaves — allows the subconscious mind to come forward, offering insight, clarity, and healing at a level often beyond ordinary awareness.
QHHT is distinct from typical talk therapy or light trance hypnosis:
It is designed to move the client into a very deep hypnotic state (theta state) — deeper than most guided meditations or standard hypnotherapy.
In this state, conscious analytical thinking quiets, and the subconscious mind — including your highest wisdom — becomes highly accessible.
Why QHHT Is Unique
Depth of trance: QHHT aims for a theta-dominant state, which is deeper than typical hypnosis and similar to states achieved in deep meditation or the “edge of sleep.”
Subconscious access: Rather than just relaxing or shifting habits, QHHT is intended to tap into the subconscious as a direct source of information and healing.
Personalized insight: Answers and responses emerge organically from your own inner intelligence, not the practitioner’s interpretation.
Who is QHHT for?
Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique is well‑suited to individuals who:
Are open to deep introspection
Seek insight beyond conventional conversation or cognitive approaches
Are curious about subconscious patterns or metaphysical frameworks of self
Want transformative clarity rather than just symptom relief
You do not need prior hypnosis experience, and the depth reached in a session is guided entirely by your comfort and readiness.
What does the research say about hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a clinically validated practice that has been shown to reduce anxiety, support trauma processing, relieve chronic pain, and improve emotional resilience. Studies have documented its efficacy in a wide range of contexts:
A meta-analysis in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis found hypnosis to be highly effective for anxiety reduction, especially when guided by a trained practitioner.
Research from Stanford University has shown that during hypnosis, brain scans reveal altered activity in regions linked to focused attention, self-awareness, and emotional regulation.
A systematic review published in Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews concluded that hypnotic states are associated with changes in brain connectivity that support relaxation, imagery, and access to subconscious processes.
Clinical applications of hypnosis have shown improved outcomes in surgery recovery, chronic pain, PTSD, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), among other conditions.
While QHHT specifically as a branded technique has not been the subject of large-scale clinical trials, there is a significant body of research on hypnosis and altered states of consciousness that supports its foundational elements:
Hypnosis has clinical support for reducing anxiety, pain perception, and stress, and for enhancing emotional regulation.
Studies of theta brainwave states (common in deep meditation and certain hypnotic states) show increased access to implicit memory, emotional processing, and creative insight.
Research indicates that deep relaxation and trance states can support nervous system regulation, improved stress response, and subjective wellbeing.
In this context, QHHT can be understood as an application of established psychophysiological principles (deep trance, subconscious access, guided intention) integrated into a consistent protocol for insight and healing.
These findings align with what clients often report: that hypnosis supports deeper insight, emotional release, and a felt sense of connection to something greater — whether that be inner guidance, purpose, or soul-level awareness.
